The AUD is symbolized with the "$" symbol and each dollar is subdivided into 100 cents. The coins are issued in 5¢, 10¢, 20¢, 50¢ , $1, $2 increments and the banknotes are printed in $5, $10, $20, $50, $100 denominations.
