The official currency for Oman is the Omani Rial. The rial is issued in denominations of OMR 1, 5, 10, 20 and 50 as well as 100, 200 and 500 baisa. Foreign currencies can be exchanged at most banks which are open only from 8:00 am until 12:00 pm Saturday through Wednesday and 8:00 am until 11:30 am on Thursdays.
